Followed Company - A company you chose from our database that you are currently collecting newsletters from. You can pick companies to follow using our Explore feature and the newsletters you receive from them are stored in the Archive. You can follow a certain number of companies based on your subscription.

 

Swaps - A swap is when you switch out one of your currently followed companies with a different company. Based on your subscription you are granted a certain number of swaps.

 

List - You have the ability to categorize and organize the newsletters you receive from your followed companies into groups, known as lists. There is one default list called favorites but you can also create as many lists as you like and name them whatever you please. Newsletters are added to lists form the Archive and you can view all your lists in the email lists tab.

 

Archive - The Archive is where all the newsletters you receive from your followed companies are stored and displayed. Here you can look at each individual newsletter and also view a detail page for each email.

 

Email Campaign - Any email a company/business sends to a subscriber, list of customers, or to prospects. This is a form of internet marketing meant to keep a business in touch with their customers.

 

Plain Text - Text that is not computationally tagged, specially formatted, or written in code.

 

Email Address - An email address identifies an email box to which email messages are delivered. A physical address.

 

Subject Line - For emails, a subject line is the introduction that identifies the emails intent. This subject line, displayed to the email user or recipient when they look at their list of messages in their inbox, should tell the recipient what the message is about, what the sender wants to convey.

 

Pre-header Text - The short summary text that follows the subject line when an email is viewed in the inbox. They are provided to tip off the reciever on what the email contains before it is opened.

 

Read Length - The approximate amount of time it takes a person to read through the email newsletter.  

 

Send-Out-Time - The time a company sends an email newsletter to their subscribers/customers.

 

Subscription - An arrangement of your choosing to recieve access to a Mailytics account by paying in advance.

 

Open Rate (OR) - A measure of how many people on an email listopen (or view) a particular email campaign. The open rate is normally expressed as a percentage.


Click-through Rate (CR) - The ratio of users who click on a specific link to the number of total users who view the email.
